City employees questioning mayor's priorities |
RE: City employees questioning mayor's priorities
He tried to steal millions of dollars from Sheriff Aubrey after the merger and had his a** handed to him in court once again.
RE: City employees questioning mayor's priorities
Let's see:
#12 The great deal we/he had with Valvoline to do oil changes for the former County police cars. I believe it was costing about $30.00 to have them done there versus $7.00 at the Newburg garage. I've been told someone in the Sam Swope family has an interest in the Valvoline Chain(?). Don't they also do the estimates and repairs for our wrecked vehicles. No chance for kickbacks there. Oh yea as soon as a local station started asking questions it was stopped.
#13 How about the great deal with NAPA to get spare parts? I'm sure I can go to WalMart and get a spare key made for less than $5.00.
#14 Southfields. I'm sure that no money changed hands under the table on that deal.
#15 Louisville Water Company. The mayor said he wouldn't raise taxes after merger but every year look at the rates that rise for the water company. I wonder who owns the Louisville Water Company. Look out for some made up problem that will require a huge increase next year.
#16 The Mayor continually stating that LMPD is only 100 officers short. We all know the number is closer to 200 but even giving him the 100 number where has all the money gone for those 100 slots the last 5 years?
All right I'll turn it over to someone else I'm sure there are others.
Could someone in the media take a look at just a couple of these and report on them. I know these posts are monitored by the local media. When this corruption finally gets exposed its going to be a national story and one of the first questions is going to be is how the local media could have overlooked and tolerated this for so long.
Take heart fellow posters I think that teflon Jerry and Robert are beginning to feel the heat. Some of the local media is beginning to report stories that are critical of Jerry and Robert. You can see the distress in their faces lately when they are on the news.

He also abolished the term-limits for Mayor right after merger, allowing himself to keep his private criminal enterprise available for re-election for as long as he could continue to pull the wool over the public's eye.

RE: City employees questioning mayor's priorities
I agree, the guy is lame and our money (I'm just a regular tax-paying citizen, not a cop) is being thrown away BUT let's stick with the facts when we argue against him. The Library Tax didn't go through. Remember? Right after it didn't go through (by a huge margin, it was voted down- i'm one of the folks who voted against it), he claimed a TEN MILLION DOLLAR shortfall that year. We went through the same song and dance, only this year, he upped it ten more million and now he wants cops to basically put twice as much into the city since they ALREADY pay taxes as it is. And that's one of the things that makes me really mad about this... you guys (police) already pay taxes. You already pay for those take-home cars and all this other nonsense. Asking you to pay more is just shameful AND it's ridiculous.
