Enough is Enough!

You are correct in the fact that the police department didn't cause this mess but is being asked to clean it up along with the fire department. There are several questions the FOP should be asking the local media to check into. For starters why was the mayor telling everyone that we were in great shape right up until the Library tax failed then we were suddenly in a crisis. Another example would be losing the firefighters lawsuit then basically giving land away to the Cordish Company only to then tell everyone that we were in dire financial hardship and everyone must sacrifice. Notice a pattern? This proposed tax on the take home car is nothing more than a way for the mayor to raise funds to settle the firefighters lawsuit. If the mayor or the figure head running your department is really concerned about cutting costs then let them have you only use the cars to drive to and from work and court. That seems to work out pretty well for KSP. Anyway keep up the posts and stand together it might be working I just noticed the chief had to send out his public relations man T.R to channel 11 news to try and put a spin on it.

P.S. Don't think for a minute if they get way with taking the fire departments incentive pay that the police department is not next in line.
