Here are the real motives:

1. Major...I am God and no one will tell me that I wrong! The Major still has feelings for his ex-wife, and that is why he kept texting her. The subpoena on these texts will prove this. And not even Uncle Phil can cover that up.

2. The Ex-wife....She was in the division long before Harper. What bone-headed idiot puts someone in charge of their ex-wife? She is remarried and Harper was trying to destroy her marriage. Put yourself in her shoes or her husband's. How mad would you be? And then when you tried to do things the right way, You are called a liar.

3. The Sgt.. - Reported the harrassment as required by policy. Days later, he is counselled for poor leadership, ability, skill..etc. Compstat shows that his unit is outperforming other units that have twice as many detectives and in one case twice as many sergeants. Damn! He sucks! I wonder how the hell he got 3 meritorious unit citations and all of those other awards?

Once the phone company sends back the actual texts from that subpoena....your hero will fall.
