The difference between the police and you is we have the guts to do the job and you have the guts to stand behind the counter and ring up my food order munbnuts!!!!! Oh by the way i guarantee we all pay more taxes than you. Might want to get that GED so you can have a little bit of a better argument

Just for starters, I need my car for off duty jobs for the following reasons:

1) To transport anyone that I arrest. Yes, I do most certainly make off duty arrests occasionally.

2) To transport anyone that I'm helping: victim/witness

3) To block traffic or use the warning lights (if applicable to the off duty job)

4) To deter crime. A marked police car, even when parked, does help deter crime.

5) To patrol in circles looking for bad guys (if applicable to the off duty job)

6) To back up nearby officers that may need help for any reason. It doesn't matter if I'm off duty or on duty. If there is an "officer down" call on the radio, I'm planning on going in that direction.

All of these things are the reasons why having a police car is kinda important when we are working an off duty job. Asking a police officer to work without his police car is like fighting fires without a fire truck or collecting garbage without a garbage truck.

The fact that you can't realize this for yourself and I have to explain it to you makes me wonder if you're....well....a complete moron.
