The air unit does have room for improvment.
For one thing, if they had TWO WORKING HELICOPTERS! HELLO! then they could offer us better coverage and faster response time.
The other problem is that the helicopters don't have all the equipment that they should, such as FLIR (forward looking infra red).

The air unit may just fly around and the k-9 finds the bad guy, did you ever think that the air unit kept the bad guy pinned down and hiding till k-9 could get there and start their track??? I venture to say that had the air unit not been overhead, your bad guy would be long gone and k-9 would not have found him either. It's all about team work, Have a crime, get cars started and the air unit, air unit gets overhead and helps contain the area so ground units can set up a permiter and k-9 can get there and catch the bad guy. TEAMWORK
