The Police Tax

I always like it when some moron makes comments abou something he knows nothing about. Obviously they have never been in a foot chase or had the air unit back them. Sounds more like some moron that isn't even a cop bating everyone here.

I have called for the air unit on occasions during foot pursuits and they just fly around and shine that spot light for a while and fly off. We called for k-9 and they usually found the guy in the same area the air unit was in, and in less time. I would call a dog long before I waste time with the air unit. They're down here with us putting in the work.

It would REALLY help if one of you who has all the facts would simply put out a press release to all of the media outlets explaining that we won't have a helicopter for Thunder at this rate - so who will do aerial overflight? There are other aviation resources, but will LMPD be willing to put an officer in a Cessna with a CAP pilot?
