I DISAGREE ITS AMERICA AND THAT GOES WITH THE TERRITORY! I don't tell someone at ford how to build a car, I don't tell someone at UPS how to deliver a package, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO JUDGE GOVERNMENT HENCE WE THE POLICE ARE A PART OF THAT GOVT. BUT MY INDIVIDUAL ACTIONS AS A OFFICER ARE MY PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS and I have a good reason for everthing I do when I ride my beat or stop at thorntons or anything else that I do

Well my friend, in case you have forgotten the Police Officers pay taxes as well. Thats right they pay their own salary, so they have every right to take a break at one location? do YOU take a break or go to lunch with your co workers all in one place? Is that unprofessional? And NO, accepting a discounted meal or free drink is NOT a GRATUITY. A gratuity would mean that the individual giving is expecting something in return. We don't have enough space here for me to tell you how many times I have had to cite or arrest someone who has given me a break on food or drink.

And $60 for the use of the car is going to over great for Louisville. Now all the FREE services the public WAS receiving will be replaced with OVERTIME. That's right every time I respond OFF DUTY by stopping for the motorist or writing a ticket to a reckless driver or answering an array of Police calls while OFF DUTY for FREE will now be charged to the city in the form of OVERTIME which they HAVE to pay. That's correct that $60 will now cost Jerry $120 a month. He may stick it up ours for $60 but we will now stick it up his side ways for twice that. Every time he takes money away we will put in for more Overtime for free services the public USED to get. Thanks, Jerry, my family and I will enjoy an extra special vacation on the taxpayers dime this year!!!!!
