RE: The Police Tax
Brother, I like the suggestion. Will someone with a good handle on this kind of stuff step up and work to get a real union?
RE: The Police Tax
Who's gonna save us? The Teamster's? I have worked for the teamsters...they have no business in emergency services. I bet they were pretty good in the private industry, but when it comes to public service they don't have a clue.I heard less out of them on issues that I have from our FOP.

RE: The Police Tax
I wasn't saying go with the Teamsters. I know their record with public safety and I agree with you, but there has to be a union who gives a ******** about public safety and I am hoping that you find one. Just the talk about getting the FOP out could put some fire under the current president's ******** and get him moving. I know unions with public safety already have a hard time. Can't have work stoppages, no long term strike and so on, but there are ways to fight back against the city. But what any union needs to be strong....unity. At UPS they fired an aircraft mechanic, the next night the aircraft mechanics downed 80% of the planes and the previously fired mechanic was put back to work. Again I hope you all the best. I do appreciate the job you do and understand the dangers and red tape you all go through.

Take care Brothers. I believe your Leadership is taking action that your State Lodge President (who you know is a stand up Bother) are not going to abandon their Brothers' in time of need. Lodge #13.
