Jefferson County Deputy Sherrif Attacked, Firearm Stolen

The days of it being safe to have 1-man cars are over. Few officers would want to go to 2-man cars because they might lose their take-home and the department wouldn't want to because it would mean hiring more people. I hope these selfish motivations don't end up resulting in more needless Officer deaths. The FOP leadership should be talking to the Metro Council, the Mayor, the Chief, and the public about this if they care about keeping officers alive. Don't be afraid to go on TV and let the public know about important issues, or else hire a professional spokesman to do it. Right now Abramson has the Metro TV cable station dedicated to spewing his campaign lies. The FOP needs to let the public know what's really going on here.

This incident again proves the point that we (LEOs) have to stay alert and not become complacent with every day activity. Personally, I do not care what agency you are with, I will back you up when I see you with a traffic stop or whatever else I think I can help with. We are all in the same business and should help each other.
