Jefferson County Deputy Sherrif Attacked, Firearm Stolen

How in the world did this conversation go from the issue of a Deputy being assaulted to whether or not LMPD processes their own scenes? We have an ETU. If anyone bothered to read the policy on requesting ETU, they would know that there are certain criteria. It is not that limiting. The problem lies with the few lazy officers that want ETU to do their job for them. Thats why ETU gets tied up on scenes that really did not require any processing at all! Believe me, if you added up the years of experience that the employess have in ETU all together, it would surpass any know-it-all that runs their mouth constantly about how inept our ETU is.(one former county ETU, She knows who she is). The majority of sworn LMPD members have great respect for our ETU. I am not proclaiming that our ETU is super-human, but on the whole, if you ask for them, 99% of the time, you will get help, or a physical response. In closing, THANK GOD that the deputy wasn't hurt or we as a department would be saying goodbye to another brother or sister.
