Would Be Fugitive Caught On Tape In Local Court Room

Just to set the record straight concerning the security in the Hall of Justice give this a little thought. On an average day there are between 1500 to 2000 court cases heard there. There are hundreds of prisoners in the Holdovers in those courtrooms, and if you are in the "Hall" there are hundreds of people hanging in the hallways. There are numerous fresh arrests made daily by Deputies, and other Law Enforcement Agencies, not just LMPD. I spent 26 years with LPD,and I am proud of that fact. I am now with the Jeff. Co. Sheriff's Office and I am equally proud. The Deputies are highly trained, knowledgeable of court security, and knowledgeable of all aspects of Law Enforcement. Most are wonderful people and will assist you at anytime. Unless you work in the Hall of Justice or the Judicial Center you don't have a clue what goes on.

The Sheriff's Office is a constitutional Office that will not be eliminated, and is a very busy Agency.

To the young man who is worried about us "Old Men", please look me up and I will quickly adjust your attitude.

Bob Knoop

Deputy Sheriff
