And which of those specialty units were you on? One of the ones that rarely, if ever, gets activated or used by this department? I mean damn, the first two or three months of 2016 the SWAT team was called out between 20-30 times. In two months!!! Which team did you say you were on? Oh wait, you didn't. For the scant amount of time you were on said specialty unit, how many activations did you receive, and how adversely did it or did it not affect your personal life? So the department's PIO's, both sworn and non sworn get on call pay. They get it whether they have to get in front of the camera or not. And get this, even if they don't have to make a statement to the media, ie-no shooting or homicide on that particular day, they still get their on call pay, several hours on Saturday and we several hours on Sunday, for doing jack shiate nothing. Now Mr. Russell has been taken care of the majority of his career, but WTF??? You do nothing, put in for pay for doing nothing, and that doesn't prompt one of the hundreds of chief initiated investigations?? Would seem you are really being cared for and looked after. At least the SWAT guys are out earning theirs, kicking in doors, getting shot at and working for their hours. What specialty unit did you say you were on? Good night fair weather warrior
