WELL SAID!!! All we have with Fischer is a "Jerry Wannabe"! A tax and spend liberal who cares absoulutly NOTHING about the citizens of Louisville. The 1% income tax he wanted failed so he is trying another slick move to smack the taxpayers! I hope we have all learned a valuable lesson the past 4 years and vote this clown out of office!

That is correct. This is known as "vacancy credits" in the budget game played by city government. The fee passed last night will not directly impact public safety but instead create a new revenue stream for political gain. One citizen suggested a small toll to use the bridge like 10 or 25 cents to be used for security and maintenance (yes the bridge is new but as costs start coming in to maintain it guess what, more tax money). The statement leaders made to the public that there is no more money in the budget is pure hogwash. It is all about priority spending. Put this on the ballet and see how fast it bites the dust. It is time accountability comes to this city and the people are truly represented. Start voting with your wallet, demand accountability from TARC (big empty buses) where is the tax supplement being spent? MSD rates go up every year, water goes up every year, school taxes go up every year, Police budget and manpower, equipment.....well you know how that is going. But hey we need more bike paths, outreach programs, parks, tax supplemented business ventures, expansion of 4th Street Live........tax and spend and oh if you want more public safety you must pay more fees. Next more fire protection oh wait you will need to pay a fee. See the trend here? Louisville is one of the most taxing per capita cities in the U.S. Look it up. How about city elected leaders representing the majority population! We need common sense city government. RANT OFF.
