I have been waiting here all week for my subpeona...It has not shown up yet.

What judge in their right mind would sign a subpeona or search warrant ordering me to hand over the ip addresses of people excercising their right to free speech?

The only incident I can imagine where that would ever happen is if credible threats were made against someone.

And what if I did not record ip addresses in the database, or emptied them all from the database table? There is no law that states I have to record or keep ip addresses.

And of course you realize, because Im sure your an experienced unix administrator, that the log file rotation daemon on my server deletes httpd logs after 14 days. You know since my raid array on the server only has so much room....
