The same lame argument could be made the out of county officers are paying taxes but getting no benefit either. (Lame as I said)
There are more people that live else where and work in Jefferson county and pay the same local taxes than the number of ones that actually live in Jefferson county.
So why are you so arrogant against out of county officers?

You should not be paying the school board portion of the city tax. If you live out of the county, you should pay 1.45% on city tax and not 2.2%. If you work off duty, you should also only be paying the 1.45% to the sinking fund on your self-employment income.

Not in income taxes, but USD property taxes are 3x the rate of the county tax property (which Urban residents pay as well). If you don't own, no you don't pay it, but whoever owns it pays it. That's why rents are usually a little higher in the USD, for nicer apartments, anyway.
