Question: What happens if an officer cuts someone a break that has broken the law? Answer: People accuse the officer of covering something up, and they turn around and threaten lawsuits, file PSU complaints, and go to media. No good deed goes unpunished. It's not being an a-hole for an officer to protect himself from allegations. If you go hands on, they need to go to jail with charges. PS...officers do not choose to arrest people...people choose to be arrested by their actions.
