Cannons Lane was shut down in both directions at I-64 Sunday evening after shots were fired at an officer during a police pursuit.
It happened during a foot chase near Cannons Lane and Winchester Road not far from I-64.
The incident started when a suspect attempted to rob a store in the 800 block of Blankenbaker.
There was a police pursuit and the suspect got out of his car and started running on-foot.
A police K-9 unit assisted in capturing the suspect, who was then arrested
