A 20-day suspension against a Louisville Metro Police officer has been withdrawn.

An attorney representing the department announced that decision in the Jackie Hollingsworth case at the Police Merit Board hearing Monday.

Hollingsworth was accused of violating department policies on truthfulness and forging a receipt.

Hollingsworth will receive 20 days credit for the suspension she received in May.

"Obviously, I'm thrilled. I wish I could have my weekend back. You saw several thousand pages of documents that I had prepared? Probably not all of them would've been admitted, but they were there and prepared," said Mary Sharp, Hollingsworth's attorney.

The case against Hollingsworth stems from a 6-year-old claim she stole money from the Louisville Black Officers Organization. However, she's never been charged with a crime.

A spokesman for the police department said Monday's action was taken to investigate new evidence in the case.
