A police cruiser was struck by gunfire last night as an officer patrolled near Iroquois Homes.
An officer from the 4th Division was patrolling near Tuscarora Way and Bicknell Avenue sometime before 11 p.m. when his vehicle was struck several times, said Officer Phil Russell, a police spokesman.
The officer was not injured.
"Several rounds struck the vehicle just behind where the officer was seated," Russell said.
He said evidence was collected from the area and the case is still being investigated.
