Two 1st division officers were forced to fire upon an armed suspect last night after the suspect brandished a handgun.
The officers were dispatched to investigate a street robbery at approximately 3:15 am Tuesday morning near Floyd and Jefferson.
While in the area, they stopped three people.
One of those people ran from police and drew a weapon and that's when officers fired shots but no one was hit.
The person who ran was later found near Preston and Market with a weapon and now faces charges.
