Teen Accused of Pulling Officer From Window

Normally, a 14-foot fall would result in serious consequences, but an Owensboro police officer and a teenager suffered only minor injuries when they fell from a second-story window during a struggle.

Both the 14-year-old boy and 26-year-old Officer Bryan Velotta escaped with minor injuries. They were treated at a hospital following the Sunday fall that was reported this morning.

The boy was already facing felony probation violation charges and could be tried as an adult on an attempted murder charge. The police report says the boy pulled officer Velotta from the window. The teen was taken to the Warren County juvenile detention center after being released from the hospital.
