Louisville Metro Police officers say they receive as much as they give during a program to deliver Thanksgiving meals. Twenty off-duty officers along with members of Greater Saint Mark Baptist volunteer to cook up the food and deliver it.

The meal includes turkey, green beans, and yams. Beat officers recommend who should receive the meals. They include the sick, the elderly, and shut-ins.

Officer Yolanda Baker of the Louisville Metro Police Dept. tells Fox 41, "We're just all privileged to be able to sit down on Thanksgiving Day with our famlies, and this is just a way that we can just give back."

This is the seventh year for the program. More than three hundred people will receive meals this year.
