Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch Det. Jacqualine Pickrell --part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force--along with KSP Post 4 Trooper Simon, U.S. postal inspectors and the Louisville Metro Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant on Jan. 6 at Cardinal Meadow Court in Jefferson County.

The search warrant was obtained as the result of an investigation conducted by Det. Pickrell and U. S. postal inspectors. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch received information that a subject in the Louisville area had purchased child pornography on the Internet and received it through the mail.

Agents in Texas were able to provide Det. Pickrell with the name and address of the subject in Louisville who purchased the child pornography. During the execution of the search warrant, those pieces of purchased media were recovered along with computer and other pieces of assorted storage media containing child pornography.

The suspect, Gregory Lee Morrison, was arrested as a result of the items located at the residence. In addition to the pornography charge, Morrison has also been charged with possession of marijuana.

Morrison was transported to the Jefferson County Detention Center and lodged. KSP Det. Pickrell is continuing the investigation.
