A sharp rise in violence and homicides continues to plague the city's west end. 46-year-old Jeanette Spencer became Louisville's 56th homicide victim this year when she was found stabbed at her home in the 2500 block of west Madison Street. The night before 16-year-old Key'vonne Edison was killed after she was shot once in the head outside a house in the 4100 block of Muhammad Ali and Seventeen-year-old Johnathan Watson was killed when he was shot multiple times outside his home in the 2100 block of west Jefferson Street Wednesday night.
