Milwaukee Police Officer Shoots Man In Leg

A 47-year-old Milwaukee man will likely face charges after pointing a rifle at police early Sunday night. An officer ended up shooting the man twice. It happened around 5:30 p.m.

Police said they responded to a call about shots fired at Teutonia and Eggert Place. The caller said a person was talking about suicide. When police arrived, the man opened the door with a rifle in his hand. The officers said they ordered him to drop it. When the man refused the offer, an officer shot the man twice, o­nce in each leg.The man is in the hospital. The officer is o­n administrative duty pending an investigation, which is standard procedure.
