A Louisville woman was arrested early Saturday morning after she allegedly kicked a police officer in the groin near the popular "Fourth Street Live!" district in downtown.

Police say Courtney Porter, 23, was assaulting another person near the intersection of Fourth and Liberty around 2:00 Saturday morning. When an officer approached her, police said Porter jabbed her finger in the officer's face while "yelling and screaming."

Police said they asked Porter to leave but she refused. After the officer's second attempt to take Porter into custody, Porter allegedly kicked the officer in the groin.

Porter allegedly told the officer she was aiming for the officer's leg.

Courtney Porter is charged with trespassing, assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
