No, it's a very INAPPROPRIATE to wonder about someone's benefits when someone dies. It comes across as very tacky and insensitive. If you must be told this, I seriously doubt this post will change your opinion.

No. it isn't. Any LEO family (blood or not) knows that there are benefits that come with a LODD. The post here was completely unnecessary & borderline inflammatory. "hope they get what is owed to them." They will. Eventually. But now isn't the time & this site certainly isn't the place to begin a death benefit debate. And we all also know that Supporting Heroes exists to help bridge the gap in waiting for those benefits to be paid out.
