Yes I do. I also do every one of the things I mentioned in my post above. I wasn’t downing those of us in patrol; I just fail to see what the big deal is about waiting while a victim makes a call. Of course I won’t be using my personal phone. If the dept wants to make a policy that seems a bit out of the realm of a patrol officer’s responsibility that could keep me off the air longer than necessary waiting for someone to bring me a phone, that’s the dept’s prerogative. I get paid either way. That’s all I’m saying. I refuse to let these issues make me miserable.
