Officer Mattingly Terminated from Police Department

Right on. I am so sick of people using the color of their skin as a crutch. I tell you what...I will admit that there is still some racism in this country if some of our black citizens will give me a date when they are going to quit crying about racism as the root of all THEIR problems. So called "Chief" White is a coward. He cut this Officer loose to appease his black constituants. To suggest that a trained police officer should have just "let him go" in refernce to Newby is down right crazy. It borders on criminal. Newby was a drug slinging punk with a gun. He tried to take Mattingly's gun. He even pulled the trigger once and then as he was moving away form Mattingly he is reaching for his own gun!! Get a clue people. This is not suppose to be a fair fight. The Police have an inherant duty to protect life. If Newby was allowed to escape (provided he didnt shoot Mattingly) he may have tried to shoot the next Officer that encountered him. Learn the law before you pretend to speak about it. And all of you that are crying that this was just a black kid unjustly shot by a white policeman...where did you get your facts from? The kids mom? OF COURSE she thinks her son was a prince. Would you be crying as loudly if Newby had shot Mattingly? Then you would be claiming he was framed. You want it all and want to pay nothing to get it.
