Despite what has happened in recent months with the LMPD, and Officer Mattingly in particular, I must say this:I live in downtown Louisville, and every time I hear a strange noise outside of my apartment, or I am awakened by some disturbance, when I look out, there is almost always a police cruiser waiting at the stoplight at the street below. I take comfort in this. When I look out, I know if something is happening outside, I am protected. The officer that is waiting below at the stoplight, whomever
