Who cares? Go apply to be in charge of the explorers, be a health and safety officer, volunteer to do any and everything under the sun that might spark some overtime. That’s what he does. You don’t have to like it, but he EARNS the money he makes by working the hours doing whatever it is the dept. allows him to do on overtime. I have no opinion of the guy either way, never worked with him. If you want to be the 7th highest paid officer on the dept I suggest you apply/attempt to do all those things/jobs that may just get you there. Good luck.

You're not looking at the list right. I guarantee you at least 10 traffic guys far exceed what he earns. They work for it and earn every penny, not hating, but I can assure you he isn't making their kind of OT. He may be clearing a lot of OT for a regular division guy, but he is hardly the 7th highest paid anything.
