New Kentucky State Police cruisers will be Chevrolets instead of Fords

Most of you commenting aren't even saying anything intelligent in regards to the new car. Please offer something more than innuendo. Our eventual new Taurus's will be all wheel drive and have more horsepower than the current Crown Vic. The KSP car will a beefy V-8. We do not need that here.

It does lack the "authoritative" look.

The actually have a committee that consists many Troopers to evaluate the vehicles they deemed appropriate for their job duties.

It was my understanding they do not like the uni-body due to the flexing it does jumping medians etc.

I don't think this is what their entire fleet is going to end up being. They bought 125, that is hardly a fleet transformation.
