WHAT WAS SAID:

-- "Within moments, the man was approaching Kuriger with a propane torch in hand. Kuriger used his Taser, but it had no effect. Then the man turned the torch on himself, lighting his pants and arms on fire."....

-- “It’s an honor,” Kuriger said. “But I was doing my job. I put my uniform on every day to protect the citizens of this community.”

-- Kuriger said he had no doubt that any officer would have done the same.

WHAT WAS BEING THOUGHT AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAID:

After the taser failed and the guy kept advancing I should have shot him, but I started to think about all the controversy that would have been created by a police officer shooting a man with a propane torch and decided it wouldn't be worth the stress and headaches.

Luckily things worked out for me. Very lucky indeed.

Sgt. Donnie Masden..............................REALLY????????? Disgusting when so many Officers and C0's actually deserved to be recognized yet were not.
