On the searching issue. Granted some officers don't search at all, they are the worthless Officers we are forced to deal with. However with our policy Officers are limited as to how detailed of a search they can give without having to call a Sgt and do an AIR or getting complained on.

But if I was working in the jail and found a knife or god help us a gun on someone I would probably be inclined to put it on paper as that weak search could cost someone their life and that Officer should learn the hard way via some discipline. No excuse for missing a gun or knife unless it is somewhere you need an Xray to find!
