The way it is for our work (Public School)..

Anything over 8 hours in a day is OT, regargless if you use a sick day. Anything over 40 hours in a week is OT. So if you work 16 in one day 8 regular and 8 is OT, then take a sick day on Friday but com in on Saturday, Saturday would be straight time, since you didnt work 40 hours in a week.

I'm confused. Does this mean if I have a late run/arrest on my Monday and work two hours past my scheduled off time, that on my Friday they are going to send me home early to avoid pushing me over my 40 hours?
