I beg to differ. Nor is police corruption, laziness or incompetence rampant, but when there is one morsel of a case, it is exploited in gross proportions by the department heads, mayor's office and media. So why is this situation somehow not eligible to be used to make a larger point? Just saying. Maybe one day when you are the subject of slanderous and slanted stories on the news, you won't be so quick to defend someone who legitimately should be shamed for what they are actually guilty of doing.
