Company man? Really? Do you have to be a smarta$$ about it? For your information we brought that issue up years ago, probably before you were out of diapers, and lost the battle. The ruling was public safety. Officers COULD be required to be at roll call, dressed and ready for duty the minute their shift started because the public had the right to have their law enforcement ready for and on duty at all times. OK?? A specialized unit like k-9 would not be the front line on duty response the public is entitled to, because they are a SPECIALIZED unit not required by law or provided by every law enforcement agency, so they COULD contest it. Maybe in OTHER cities its different, but we are here in Louisville, KY. How about you do your homework.
