Chief Conrad may say he is not going to eliminate the take home car program, but there are still no guarantees. If the program is dissolved, it will not be the sole decision of one man such as the Chief. The Chief will certainly have a lot of weight in the decision, but other major players would be the Mayor's Office and council members. If the Chief strongly wants to keep the program, but the Mayor's office and the council members want it dissolved, guess who will win.

Uh- WRONG!!!! That was fought by police in other cities and WON!! It's straight up labor law. The departments were requiring their officers to be in the station 15 minutes prior to their shift specifically to be assigned equipment before roll call.
Do your homework, Company Man.
Even our own K9 officers are getting paid over this issue...
