Chief Conrad tells Rotarians making city safe is top goal |
RE: Chief Conrad tells Rotarians making city safe is top goal
Ah you forget the donning and doffing decisions that have criss crossed the nation such as http://www.shrm.org/LegalIssues/FederalResources/Pages/9thDonningandDoffing.aspx
They park the cars they have to pay for the donning and doffing and pay for locker rooms and showers at each division. that alone would put the department into the red, again.

The folks in the K9 unit work a 7 hour and 15 minute shift to compensate them for all the time and effort spent taking care of a living piece of city equipment. There is no OT "built in" to their checks. They do get 45 minutes for each off day but only if the dog is taken home with them. Again, its to compensate them for the additional time and effort or caring for the dog. It has nothing to do with "doffing and donning".
