Good sir--- I think you are lost

Let me break this down for you...

You are inferring that the poster above was endorsing what seems to be your comment from earlier that was something along the lines of "get over it, Peter is gone". (If that wasn't your post you are at least defending it as the post you are referring to was in response to that) and also admonishing those that considered that uncouth.

While not my comment, I believe the subject above was implying that we need to pay homage to other officers and not forget them and their sacrifice. Which, in my opinion is the antithesis of your platform which champions "moving on".

In short, one of two things has occurred here.

Either you are not clear in what you are reading...

or you are not clear in what you are saying...

Also-- to insert my view, I personally think it would be a bit more classy and respectful to have held sports conversation for the next news post and left this at least in the category of sacrifice. The only reason I am diverting here is because it is already terribly off track and I would like to promote the use of a little discretion should there be an article of similar nature posted down the road. I think what the other person was getting at was that there would be grand many people view this article and possibly his family. When its viewed and 8 posts in sports banter begins it seems a bit like bad form if not disrespectful. Just a thought...
