New LMPD chief says no immediate changes

just an FYI...anytime you work with the Explorers, its on your own time. The department never pays overtime for any Explorer activity. Yes the Advisors get SD time when they take the kids to competitions but it is alot of work and responsibility. When Advisors for to the meetings, its on their own time or day off. Just know there is no pay or extra pay for it and this is not Kenny Betts speaking. Please feel free to volunteer! As far as Supporting Heroes, it is volunteer also. Not sure what he does to make the OT. I think the CCDW classes are private and of course an off duty job.
