Really this sentence is no different than the the hundreds of case each year that get bargained down. In cases like this Stengel should show some cohones and ensure that the commonwealth recommends the harshest possible sentence is offered, even if this means a trial. Then defense attornies could really start working for their money and it would probably help train the PD's office to triage their case load better.
