"you forget the clerk at the store isn't dispatched to that domestic, the assist ems, the assist anybody else run. That clerk also isn't wearing a nice shiny target on his or her chest."

Target is a bit grandiose. Statistics bear that out. How many people die in vehicle accidents each year? Comparatively, its much riskier for everyone who is driving a car, including you. Youre a target for scorn, no doubt, but as far as a target in a shooting gallery, while your job has the potential to become as dangerous as it is claimed, according to statistics, it simply isnt. It isnt about arguing till I turn blue, it is defending a point made.

"The difference between you and I is that I knew I chose to help others, I knew the cost to my family and friends, yet I chose it anyway. Was I proud of it, he-l-l yes."

Im well familiar with the cost to a personal life. I missed most of my childs life because I was out on the road working '24/7', for 2-3 weeks at a time. I started before the advent of cell phones, so the only thing I got was a phone call from a dirty payphone with no privacy every couple of days. I knew my job was critical to this country, even if we didnt have anyone who truly appreciated it publicly. I am no less proud of the work I do.

"Did I think it gave me a standing above anybody else, nope. "

While I cannot speak to you directly, I do know that it does for the vast majority of cops with the special privileges they grant themselves. You label yourselves 'heroes', which does kinda contradict that cops do not think they have a 'standing above anybody else'.

"Your old monikers on the CJ and your rants on subjects were enough to make many folks angry"

I only had one name there, and you seem to forget the way I was treated from the beginning. It has earned a lot more wrath than I have given.

"Did I "out you", no. Others did that, and I disagree with the practice."

I wouldnt know, because apparently, you dont trust the psychos on this page anymore than I do, because you do not sign your name to anything. I really wouldnt know what you did or didnt do, because nobody puts THEIR name to anything, they just put mine, and not one of you has had the balls to say anything to them or ask that it not be allowed.

"you never have left at as a simple criticism, you have always made it an attack (argue if you will, but that is your style)."

Again, I will point out that the responses I have gotten, the harassment, the intimidation, created the person that I am on this site. As to thriving on crisis, well, thats a subjective term. I dont agree with your assessment, but then again, maybe the term means something different to you. I have never shied away from a debate, and I have never entered one I was unprepared for. It keeps the mind sharp. I cant attest to 'our past' as again, I have no idea who you are. I suspect I never will, because for you to 'out yourself' would be putting a different kind of target on your back. I know what cops are willing to do to persecute people firsthand, so I cant say I blame you for staying in the shadows.
