making a point that we all need to stop and offer assistance but the way cops see it if they stopped for everyone broke down ... especially if on the way home from work that it could take them hours past quitting time to actually be off the clock, what about failure to render aide? I know i have seen cops in marked cars drive past accidents they clearly saw and had time to stop for.

more 'entitled', no. There is, however, a huge difference between a stranded disabled person, or a woman with a young child, than a healthy adult(s). Is an old woman more entitled to a seat than I am, on a subway? No, not if shes just a stranger, but youll still see me stand and offer her mine, as a matter of chivalry and respect.
Additionally, in bad weather, extreme heat or cold, this factor becomes even more of a consideration.
His concept is fine, maybe the wording is a bit flawed, but to try and compare the way cops grant themselves special privileges, vs saying they should be extra attentive to a person with a young child or disabled person, well, that is not only apples and oranges, but just human decency.
