Convicted cop killer scheduled to be released from prison

"Crazy" should not be a defense, but it certainly is a reason this guy should remain secured and managed. This guy thought he was the King of Louisville and he murdered a LE Deputy performing routine duty (which means dangerous). My real wish is that he would reamin were he belongs. Since that's not going to happen, I hope he does not harm anyone else, that his family takes the responsibility to oversee him in a detailed fashion, and that he will be as a productive as he is capable of being. Well, it would appear sanity and reason have taken off for the holidays...

I remember when this happened. I was trying to get hired on with LPD at the time and it really rocked my world. I was young and thought about giving up trying to get on when this went down. Well, I ended up getting on the next year, but I have thought about it for many years. The idea of him getting out is very creepy to me.

Brothers and Sisters I and other officers who rode the beat the family lived on saw first hand the PURE HELL this family lived through. It was gut wrenching to see the effect of Deputy Cheeks murder on his wife and children. His release is a fail of the justice system and I cannot imagine that they must re-live this. My prayers are with the family. Keep the faith and stay safe.

I was at one of the half way houses in the 4th the other day. The guy who is in charge, told me that KSR had contacted him about this idiot staying there when he got out!! He informed me that he told them no, because he didnt want a guy like that staying there. So be aware of all the other half way houses in your division, he will most likely end up at one of them. Stay Safe!! OH, but wait he had good behaivor in prison. What a JOKE!!

He will be deceased in a year or less from being released. Not necessarily from a homicide, may be natural causes. It just seems to always happen that way. It's called karma.
