I get basic math. I simply said maybe PHRASE it better, instead of implying--err alluding-- this guy was going to make 90k. Furthermore, I agreed that SPI is a waste of money, so what are you arguing about? I find it needless as well. I don't care about the 40k though because it's less than the Chief would have made in those 4 months. In reality, the only waste or money worth getting the least bit bothered about is the 50k going to SPI. The salary would have gone to someone and in this case, the city SAVES money because it doesn't equal what RW made. So that's my point. Why gripe about 90 when the real issue is 50. That's a huge difference when you are arguing the points of what is and isn't being spent here "unnecessarily". Plus, generally dislike the "our tax dollars" argument simply because usually it is being slung at US ad nauseum. And while I don't know why they didn't find someone in the notice window, I also don't want a rushed process to pick somebody either. So that's just a catch 22 really.

Wow one officer has in the$ 20,000 plus range of overtime. Is that normal for an officer to make that much in OT. I think its great. I wish I could have a base salary of 48 or 49 and already make $83,000. Im not being mean. I am being serious. Someone tell me please how I can make that. My family wants me to work more.lol.
