§ 39.062 CONSTABLES NOT TO WEAR SHERIFFS' OR POLICE UNIFORMS
(A) Jefferson County Constables shall not knowingly wear in any place within
Jefferson County, accessible to the public, an official badge or a uniform which
substantially resembles the official badges and uniforms worn by (a) the Jefferson
County Sheriff and his/her deputies, and (b) officers of the Louisville Metro Police
Department [LMPD], including those officers defined in LMCO § 36.10, which uniform
could cause a reasonable person to believe that the wearer is a Sheriff or Deputy
Sheriff or an LMPD officer when in fact the wearer is not.
(B) A constable who violates this section shall be deemed guilty of a Class B
misdemeanor and may be punished by a fine not to exceed $250 fine and imprisoned
for a period not to exceed 90 days.

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm not someplace where I can research this stuff today. But in reality, they could still give an individual constable permission if they so desired.
