it used to be a good cop would take care of their beat and not let anyone come on and poach or take reports that they could handle. A good cop would have stats but they were also judged on how much crime was taking place on their bear. If the beat was being carried away while they were playing with stats they were looked down upon as not that good of an officer. I would love to see it go back to that style of policing. Keep working, lock up those who need to be locked up but have some beat pride
