Rape allegations have been shown in years of reputable legal research to be true in 92-98% of cases. The hostility shown toward women who report allegations of rape is a result of social legends about women as manipulative, vindictive game players who cry rape to protect their reputations and or socially persecute men. The scorn directed at women who report rape is a reflection of a cultural system that uses prejudice as a tool to continue women's silence and self blame.

Can rape be prevented? Yes if two things happen. First men must address other men and reclaim rape as a men's issue, setting standards for male conduct that do not approve of any form of violence toward women. And second, the status of women in society must be fundamentally improved so that women are equally valued and not regarded as a weaker hysterical, unreasonable, or subordinated population. This involves politiacal action as well as change in families, theology, media, and economics.

I am not saying that it did not happen to you, but you are on a website tacitly convicting all police for something "one" allegedly did to you. Guess you posted your thesis/ project when citing the 92 to 98 percent comment. Couple of questions on your statistics. Where do you get your statistics? What is the definition of rape you are using since in Kentucky it is different than Indiana than Ohio etc. By your own description it was not rape but sodomy under state law. If you are using federal statistics remember that they have a completely different set of standards and based on that give out money so there is motive to stretch numbers. Example, by Ky law I have a gun and crawl through a window and take your tv while you are home. In Ky that is a burglary first. In the Feds version ( ILEADS COMPSTAT) that is an armed robbery and a burglary. If you are going by victims rights groups then anytime a woman reports a crime it is true even though the victims group does not investigate but cites their own statistics as proof. An example of that is when the courier journal looked at statistics about 8 years ago. They cited the 2nd ( now the 1st) as having 795 violent crimes per Officer per year(in case your wondering that's 2 plus a day per officer) yet at the same time another district had a higher murder rate. How can this be, simple, statistics manipulation. To get the violent crime per Officer ratio the paper used a certain set of crimes. So a menacing charge (state law means imminent fear of physical assault NOTE NO ASSAULT HAS HAPPENED) would be counted the same as a felony assault (shot you with a gun). Like I said, I am not saying anything did or did not happen to you, but please don't get on here and claim the rest of us are guilty of a cover up when we know nothing about what you are saying or were involved in your ordeal . Add to the fact that in one of your posts you cite statistics, if you go back and read a lot of the posts here on this website they are against false reporting of statistics and calling out those who condone that activity while serving as command staff. Good luck in your search for justice and blessed be you in your forgiveness.
