Discipline. Discipline. Discipline. This was great story until that last line. Must every police situation end in a reminder that "discipline" is a possibility? Seems everything must be ruined with this lingering reminder.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The son of LMPD police chief Robert White appeared before a judge Tuesday morning.

30-year-old Robert C. White, Jr. was arrested at 5:40 Monday evening in the 13000 block of Aiken Road.

According to a police report, White, Jr. and his wife, Alexis, got into an argument about divorce and he slapped Alexis in the face with the back of his hand. Alexis tried to get out of the car, but White, Jr. grabbed a hold of her arm and wouldn't let her out of the car. He then punched Alexis in the face with a closed fist. He then threatened to kill Alexis and her family. Alexis managed to escape by jumping out of a the moving car.

White, Jr. is charged with assault in the 2nd degree, terroristic threatening and intimidation. He is currently being held in Metro Corrections on a $50,000 full cash bond. - WAVE 3
